Direct Support Professional

Overview We are seeking Direct Support Professionals to provide compassionate care for children and adults with developmental disabilities. Location Beck Rd IRA, Poughkeepsie, NY Responsibilities Assist individuals with daily activities such as health and personal management, recreation, household living, and the achievement of personal goals. Maintain a safe, therapeutic environment that meets the physical, emotional, and personal needs of program participants while reducing behaviors that interfere with functioning. Qualifications High School Diploma/GED with at least 2 years of related experience or an Associate's Degree with at least 1 year of related experience. Valid NewYork Driver’s License. Physical ability to lift at least 70pounds. Flexibility, patient, energetic, creative, and possessing a sense of humor. Strong passion for working with children and adults with special needs. Compensation and Benefits Salary is commensurate with education and experience: HS Diploma/GED: $19.00 – $20.33 per hour. BA/BS: $20.00 – $21.40 per hour. MA/MS or higher: $21.00 – $22.47 per hour.
