Creative Associate - Animation

Overview

This role supports the coordination, review, and tracking of animated content projects across both active productions and projects in development. The position works closely with creative and production teams to help maintain brand consistency, support project workflows, and assist with creative review processes across various animated content formats including films, television, and short-form projects.

The ideal candidate will have a strong interest in animation, storytelling, and character-driven content, along with a general understanding of creative development and production pipelines.

Responsibilities

• Review creative materials including outlines, scripts, concept art, designs, animatics, and cuts to help ensure alignment with established brand and creative guidelines.
• Consolidate and summarize feedback for production and creative partners.
• Track project progress, production milestones, approvals, and departmental calendars.
• Provide research and reference materials related to characters, settings, assets, and existing intellectual property.
• Assist with creating presentation materials, pitch decks, and character reference documents.
• Coordinate cross-functional feedback and route materials through approval processes.
• Track usage of intellectual property and creative assets across multiple projects.
• Stay informed on trends and developments within animation, publishing, and entertainment content.
• Attend meetings, provide project updates, and support ongoing production coordination efforts.
• Organize and maintain project files, timelines, and creative documentation.
• Identify potential inconsistencies or brand alignment concerns and escalate when necessary.
• Support internal and external creative review processes.

Required Skills & Experience

• Strong interest in animation, comics, entertainment, character-driven storytelling, or related creative content.
• Understanding of animated production pipelines from concept development through final delivery.
• Ability to provide thoughtful creative feedback and communicate ideas clearly to production teams.
• Experience coordinating projects, timelines, approvals, or creative workflows.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively across teams and with external partners.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to handle confidential materials.

Preferred Qualifications

• Familiarity with current trends in animation, anime, streaming content, or entertainment media.
• Experience supporting creative development or production teams.
• Strong time management and prioritization skills.

Technical Skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
• Experience with Adobe Creative Cloud tools such as Photoshop, Illustrator, Acrobat, or InDesign.
• Familiarity with project tracking and collaboration tools such as Monday.com, ShotGrid, Jira, Asana, Airtable, Trello, or Confluence.
• Experience organizing and maintaining digital files and production documentation.

Education

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent professional experience preferred.

Additional Details

• Hybrid work environment with onsite collaboration several days per week.
• Occasional travel may be required.
