Description

American Traveler is seeking a dual-modality CT Technologist/X-Ray Technologist with trauma experience and Siemens equipment proficiency for a 13-week assignment in South Florida.

Details

• Hospital-based CT unit with one day per week floating to a freestanding emergency department (FSED)
• Weekly schedule: Tuesday 2:00 PM–9:00 PM (CT at hospital), Wednesday 7:00 AM–7:30 PM (X-Ray/CT at FSED), Thursday 3:00 PM–11:00 PM (CT at hospital), Friday 1:30 PM–9:00 PM (CT at hospital), Saturday 9:00 AM–4:30 PM (CT at hospital)
• Adult inpatient and/or outpatient setting
• Dual modality role requiring operation as both a CT Tech and X-Ray Tech
• Procedures include Abdomen/Pelvis, Chest, Head/Neck, Brain Perfusion, CTA, Spine/Musculoskeletal, Preparation/Administration of Contrast Media, and Starting IVs; Multiplanar Reconstruction, CCTA, Aspirations/Biopsies, and Drainage experience preferred
• Siemens imaging equipment used
• Epic EMR — experience required
• PACS system used
• Hurricane sign-up required

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of recent Rad Tech experience and 1 year of recent CT Tech experience required (2 years total across both modalities)
• Trauma and stroke experience required
• Dual modality capability (CT and X-Ray) required
• Experience in inpatient and/or outpatient settings required
• Adult patient population experience required
• Proficiency with Siemens equipment required
• Current BLS certification via AHA or ARC
• ARRT-CT certification required
• FL state license or compact license required if applicable
• Successful completion of a Florida AHCA Level 2 background screening, including fingerprint-based state and federal criminal history checks, abuse registry review, and screening for disqualifying offenses, is required
• Proof of vaccination required — declinations not accepted

• Local candidates within 60 miles of the facility are considered at a local rate
• Pass/fail EKG and Basic Arrhythmia assessment required prior to start
• Candidates who do not score 100% on the lethal/basic arrhythmia assessment may retake a dysrhythmia exam (Dysrhythmia Exam B) within 24 hours and must achieve an overall Angoff score of 83% or greater, 100% in the lethal rhythm section, and 83% in all other sections to be eligible to begin their first shift
• Study guides and tips for the arrhythmia assessment are available through the facility's online orientation portal
