Join us!**Purpose of Job:**The Hot Shot Driver delivers batteries to dealers when requested. They also assist with warehouse operations and assist Route Managers.**Job Components:*** Run the Hot Shots and assigned routes on a timely basis as needed* Load and unload batteries* General warehousing duties as assigned by management, including assisting customers* Deliver batteries to customers on a timely basis and in a safe and professional manner* Follow all Environmental Health and Safety rules and policies* Ensure batteries are charged, cleaned and dated, and that stock is rewrapped after rotation* Accurately complete reports and claims* Interact professionally with all stakeholders including team members, managers and customers* Follow / fulfill all driver program requirements, as specified by the manager* Perform other duties as assigned**Qualifications:*** Ability to read, write, and do basic math* Working knowledge of computers or ability to learn applicable systems required* Working knowledge of electronic inventory management tools is required (tablets, scanners).* Must have a clean drivers record AND meet driver qualifications requirements* Ability to operate a motor vehicle and/or forklift**Scope Data:*** Works under general supervision and guidance* Accountable for general warehouse duties and backup driving responsibilities, in addition to occasional front counter customer service.* Operate with integrity and demonstrate a positive attitude**Work Environment:*** Regularly required to use hands to grasp or handle, talk and hear, stand and walk.* Repetitive lifting.* Consistent sitting, standing and walking* Specific vision abilities include close vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.* Be able to regularly lift and/or move up to 50 lbs, without assistance and occasionally lifting up to 75lbs* Exposed to the hazards of the road when operating or riding in a vehicle* Exposed to battery warehouse conditions, such as exposure to moving equipment, mechanical parts, fumes or airborne particles; toxic or caustic chemicals* Use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) requiredNote: We do not accept resumes from headhunters, placement agencies, or other suppliers that have not signed a formal agreement with us.Interstate Batteries provides equal employment opportunities (EEO) to all employees and applicants for employment without regard to race, color, religion, gender, sex, national origin, age, disability, genetic information, marital status, amnesty, or status as a covered veteran in accordance with applicable federal, state and local laws.
