Acorn Hill Animal Hospital, a trusted small animal practice in San Antonio, TX, is seeking an experienced and motivated Veterinarian to lead & guide our practice, mentor our team, and shape the future of our hospital. This is an exciting opportunity to combine clinical excellence with veterinary leadership and management. You'll work alongside a dedicated Practice Manager and Regional Operations Manager to set goals, develop strategies, and continue growing our hospital's reputation for compassionate, high-quality veterinary care.

What You'll Do

• Lead and mentor a talented team of associate veterinarians and support staff.
• Establish, implement, and uphold medical protocols to ensure top-tier patient care and compliance.
• Collaborate with leadership to set and achieve hospital and operational goals.
• Foster a positive, inclusive, and growth-oriented team culture.
• Deliver outstanding client service and support our mission of compassionate care.

• Annual performance bonus for Medical Directors + stipend
• Up to $50,000 sign-on bonus available for experienced candidates
• Equity ownership package with no money out of pocket! Up to $300,000 and annual MD bonus of $15,000

Qualifications

• Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree or equivalent from an accredited university.
• Active Texas veterinary license (or eligibility to obtain).
• 5+ years of veterinary practice experience preferred.
• Proven leadership and management skills with emotional intelligence and professionalism.
• Strong commitment to ethical practice and clinical excellence.
• Ability to delegate effectively, communicate clearly, and inspire your team.

Our state-of-the-art facility includes surgical and multi-faceted medical equipment including digital radiography, ultrasound, laser therapy, an in-house laboratory, a pharmacy, and so much more!
