About the Position

Job Title: RN OR Profession: RN Specialty: Operating Room Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 06:30 - 19:00 Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 1 year required License: RN License required Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) Must-Have: RN Circulator who can position patients on the operating table, prep, position for surgery, and monitor all equipment. CST who can perform Orthopedic, Plastics, and Podiatry procedures. Description: 6-7 days plus 1 weekend per month. Shifts may consist of either 3x12 hour shifts or 4x10 hour shifts. The unit has 7 beds with a staff of 3. Day shift includes 1 OR RN and 2 CSTs, while the night shift has no staff. Patient ratios are 4 to 5 cases per team. No specific equipment is utilized in this unit. There is an on-call requirement of 4 to 5 call days. Staff may float between campuses as needed. Successful candidates will have at least 3 years of experience for Circulators and CSTs. Typical procedures performed include total joints, hip replacement, tibia and fibula surgeries, and foot and ankle procedures. Additional procedures include breast reduction, expansions, robotic surgeries, and breast reconstruction. Ideal candidates will possess a positive attitude, strong work ethic, and willingness to take trauma calls. All employees in surgical services have a tenure of 3 or more years, contributing to a stable work environment.
