Certified Peer Support Specialist - Early Engagement - Auburn Auburn, WA Certified Peer Support Specialist (CPSS) – Early Engagement Location: Auburn, WA Reportsto : Certified Peer Support Specialist (CPSS) Supervisor Rate of pay: $31.00 Position Summary: Certified Peer Support Specialists (CPSS) are individuals withlivedexperience in behavioral health recovery who are certified by the Washington State Department of Health (DOH) to provide peer support services. CPSSs use their lived experience to support others in finding their own path to wellness and recovery. They provide non-clinical, person-centered support in alignment with DOH guidelines, emphasizing mutuality, empowerment, and recovery-oriented systems of care. Build recovery-oriented relationships using mutual respect, trust, and lived experience Support members in articulating personal goals for recovery and wellness Provide trauma-informed, culturally relevant, and non-judgmental peer support Facilitate or co-facilitate recovery groups, education sessions, or engagement activities Offer harm-reduction resources, information, and linkage to services Document services provided in a timely, accurate, and ethical manner Maintain peer role boundaries and uphold the DOH Code of Ethics for Certified Peer Counselors Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams and represent the voice of lived experience Advocate for the member internally and externally CPSS –EarlyEngagement Provide person-centered care to newly enrolled members, typically within the first 30 days Connect members with all necessary initial appointments to include dose evaluations, ASAMs, Orientations, Groups, and other opportunities for early engagement, to ensure program retention Provides transportation support through individualized support through individualized door to door services as appropriate Transport members upon provider request when available. Will not hold a regular caseload, but a revolving caseload after some level of stability is achieved.
