CDL Truck Driver - Swing | ASL, 401k, Benefits Day 1, PTO Job Description Shift: Monday - Friday possible Saturdays, 5am start time Job Summary: Safely operates a heavy‑duty truck on swing routes in residential, commercial, and construction environments. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Operate vehicle in accordance with OSHA, DOT, and all local, state, federal requirements. Perform pre‑ and post‑trip inspections using standard DVIR and note issues for corrective review. Report unsafe situations or service calls to Route Manager or Dispatch before attempting service. Participate in all scheduled training, briefings, and meetings as required. Work with Route Managers to improve route efficiencies and identify problem or unsafe accounts. Assist other company drivers as directed and perform all duties as scheduled. Notify Route Manager of any incidents, accidents, injuries, or property damage. Notify Dispatch or Route Manager of issues such as blocked containers and potential missed pick‑ups. Communicate customer requests or issues to Dispatch or Route Manager. Dump all containers and leave the customer’s location clean and free of debris. Submit customer tickets when excess yardage must be removed. Position containers properly on the customer’s property to protect lids, driveways, and traffic. Follow route assignments, complete all documentation, and check in at the end of the route. Qualifications Required 2 years operating a CDL‑Class B commercial vehicle or equivalent military driving experience within the last 7 years. Ability to read, write, and speak English well enough to interact with the public, understand traffic signs, respond to official questions, and complete records or reports. At least 18 years of age. Legally eligible to work in the country where the position is located. CDL‑Class B license upon hire. Preferred High School diploma or GED (accredited). Physical Requirements Standing, walking, lifting, pushing, pulling, crouching, reaching, talking, hearing.
