Qualifications:
- Valid Special Education Teacher certification meeting Vermont state requirements
- Experience providing individualized instruction and support in a classroom setting
- Demonstrated ability to develop and implement IEPs
- Strong commitment to in-person instruction (remote/virtual not eligible)
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
What You’ll Do:
- Serve as the Middle School in-person Special Educator at a well-respected town middle and elementary school (Position 1) or as the Elementary School in-person Special Educator at a dynamic city elementary & middle school (Position 2)
- Manage a caseload of students with diverse learning needs, tailoring interventions and accommodations for each individual
- Collaborate daily with general educators, paraprofessionals, and family members to create inclusive educational environments
- Monitor student progress and adjust strategies to maximize student success
- Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with all IEP requirements and state regulations
- Participate actively in team meetings, training, and professional development throughout the school year
