As a CSA Construction Technical Services Specialist, you will Engage in resolving in-progress issues, discrepancies, or disputes related to technical interpretation of drawings and specifications; clarifying and, when required, expediting home office/responsible engineer(s) response to meet project needs in a timely mannerLiaise with home office engineering, outside engineering firms, and client representativesProvide On-site technical support in interpretation of engineering released documents, specifications, and drawings, including input to the change management process within your technical expertise.Engage in the Permitting process and with Authorities Having Jurisdiction (AHJs), Work with Design-Build contractors once their efforts move to the field. Effectively communicate with subcontractors leading to receipt and management of all key drawings and documents in a revision-controlled manner.Work to Ensure revision control is in place for all construction documentsEnsure contractors have the latest revisions to construction documentsMange, control, and communicate all timely information related to potential changes in design and installationEnsure we work within the field sketch/redline process associated with changesWork with Project Controls and Construction regarding the Field Design Revision processAct as technically competent lead in response to contractor or other party request for specification deviation in work or work product, working within the project approved spec deviation process.Work with Field Quality, contractor, and Home Office Engineering to resolve Nonconformities (NCRs)Provide mentorship and guidance to subordinate members of the team toward meeting these objectives.Follow your purpose and develop your skills in a company that challenges you throughout your career. Here's what you'll need Minimum 4-7 years of experience working in Civil, Structural, or Architectural engineering or 8-10 years’ experience in construction management of heavy-industrial process facilities including life sciences and datacentersA basic understanding of construction-oriented means, methods, codes, and standardsExperience interpreting home office engineering documents for construction purposesBachelor’s degree in engineering or equivalent experience, including certified technical trainingEffective oral and written communicationAbility to read and understand engineering drawingsIdeally, You’ll Also Have:Some field experience supporting construction All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, disability or protected veteran status.
