Fleet Mechanic

_*Connect BBC*_, a national leader in the transportation industry, is seeking top-notch mechanics in Kansas City for our in-house shop to perform inspections, preventive maintenance, and repairs on SUV and passenger vans to keep the fleet safe, road-ready, and compliant with company and regulatory standards. Our fleet size is 20 vehicles of Ford Transit and SUV. This will be a hands-on role in a fast-paced environment.

*Qualifications*

* High school diploma or equivalent required; technical training or certification preferred.
* Minimum 5 years of experience as an automotive or fleet mechanic (passenger vans preferred).
* Knowledge of diagnostic tools and repair techniques.
* Experience repairing and maintaining Ford vehicles is a strong advantage.
* Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
* General knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel & Outlook
* Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
* Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and work in a shop environment.

*Responsibilities*

* Perform scheduled preventive maintenance and inspections on company vehicles.
* Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and safety-related issues.
* Complete oil changes, brake jobs, tire rotations, and other routine services.
* Respond to road calls or breakdowns as needed.
* Keep accurate maintenance and repair records in the company’s fleet system.
* Work closely with operations to minimize downtime and keep vehicles on the road.
* Ensure compliance with DOT and company safety standards.
* Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.

*Preferred Skills*

* ASE certification or equivalent experience.
* Experience working with transportation or fleet vehicles. xhmxlyz


*Schedule:*

* Full-time schedule, Monday to Friday (occasional weekend or on-call support may be required).
