Occupational Medicine Nurse Practitioner

An occupational health event provider is seeking a Nurse Practitioner in El Paso, TX to conduct Human Performance Exams and fit-for-duty evaluations. This role involves assessing functional capacity, delivering clear medical clearance decisions, and supporting a fast-paced onsite screening environment.

About the Opportunity:

Shift: Day
Schedule: Friday, July 22nd
Hours: 7am to 5:30pm
Setting: On-site clinical event

Responsibilities:

Perform Human Performance Exams to assess functional movement, musculoskeletal stability, and job-related physical capabilities
Evaluate lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, range of motion, strength, and endurance as part of the screening process
Conduct focused physical exams, health screenings, and medical history reviews as needed
Determine medical clearance and fit-for-duty status based on clinical findings and physical demand requirements
Document evaluations accurately and work collaboratively with onsite clinical and operational teams to maintain workflow efficiency

Qualifications:

Active Nurse Practitioner (NP) license
Experience in Occupational Health, Urgent Care, Employee Health, or Pre-Employment screening
Strong clinical judgment and the ability to make clearance decisions based on functional capacity
Ability to work efficiently in a high-volume screening setting
Strong documentation and decision-making skills
Ability to commit to the full shift
