Job Title: Psychiatrist Location: Grand Forks, North Dakota Schedule: Shifts are 7 am-7 pm, 7 days on/off. 1-2 nights call per 7 day shift. Term: 22-week assignment with the potential for extension. Pay Rate: $235 - $240/hr

Astrya Global, a San Diego based medical staffing agency, is hiring a Psychiatrist for a temporary assignment in Grand Forks, North Dakota. These positions are 22-week locum tenens contracts with the ability to extend.

Responsibilities for a Psychiatrist:

• Provide inpatient psychiatric care on a 7-days-on/7-days-off schedule, with shifts from 7 AM to 7 PM
• Cover 1-2 nights of call per 7-day shift rotation
• Manage and treat patients on a 24-bed inpatient psychiatric unit, including a 6-bed adolescent unit and a general adult unit
• Conduct emergency room (ER) psychiatric evaluations and provide general hospital consults
• Be willing to evaluate and treat all ages and diagnoses presenting to the ER and general hospital
• Utilize telemedicine as needed to connect with the general hospital for consultations
• Collaborate with APPs, social work, discharge team, and intake team as part of the care team
• Be prepared to work independently on days when APP coverage is unavailable
• Work alongside another psychiatrist on a rotating 7-days-on/7-days-off schedule, with typical changeover on Thursdays
• Utilize Epic EMR for clinical documentation
• Maintain Board Certification in Psychiatry
• Complete a full orientation starting one day prior to the official start date
