Electrician

Job Summary Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, the Electrician/Maintenance Mechanic provides electrical and mechanical support for machinery and equipment such as motors, pneumatic tools, conveyor systems, and production machines and equipment by performing the following duties. Responsibilities Install electrical systems and components and support the building of new machinery. Visually inspect and test machines and equipment to locate causes of malfunctions and dismantle devices to gain access to problem areas. Repair and troubleshoot electrical and mechanical systems on CNC Machines. Design and build machine control systems. Maintain, upgrade, and install electrical systems within the facility. Troubleshoot and repair machine controls. Perform routine preventative maintenance. Other duties as assigned. Academic/Educational Requirements High School Diploma or equivalent required. Required Skills/Experience 3 to 5 years industrial maintenance experience or experience in a specialized trade or skill set. Basic knowledge of PLCs. Ability to effectively communicate with others. Must be able to read blueprints and electrical schematics. Demonstrated mechanical and mathematical aptitude. Ability to work independently and efficiently with little to no assistance. Possess advanced knowledge of hydraulic and electrical concepts. Ability to identify root cause and solve problems. Demonstrated good housekeeping practices and 5S principles. Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment. Demonstrated commitment to safe working behaviors including lockout, fall protection, confined space, and mobile equipment operation.
