AI Engineer
$65 - $75 per hourKforce
DescriptionKforce has a client in Draper, UT that is seeking a senior-level AI Engineer to help build and accelerate AI-driven solutions. The ideal candidate is a hands-on engineer who uses modern AI development tools to move quickly, improve efficiency, and challenge traditional approaches to software development. This role is approximately 80% AI Engineering and 20% Data Science, with Data Science experience considered a nice-to-have rather than a requirement.Requirements* Bachelor's or Master's degree highly preferred* Senior-level software/AI engineering experience* Strong Python and SQL development skills* Hands-on experience with Claude and/or Cursor for AI-assisted software development* Demonstrated history of using AI/developer-assist tools to create efficiencies, automate work, improve productivity, and accelerate development* Strong software engineering fundamentals and the ability to quickly learn and apply new technologies* Experience building AI-powered applications and solutions* Comfortable with AI-assisted/"vibe coding" and using AI as an integral part of their development workflow* Highly hands-on and willing to write code-not simply manage or architect from a distancePreferred Qualifications:* Data Science experience, including experience applying data analysis, modeling, or machine learning techniques* Experience with additional AI/LLM development tools and frameworks* Experience working with modern cloud and software engineering technologies* Experience identifying opportunities to automate or streamline development processesWhat We're Looking For:* Fast-moving and highly efficient - finds ways to get things done rather than getting stuck in process* Passionate about technology and AI and genuinely interested in finding better ways to build* Experiment-oriented - willing to try things, learn quickly, and iterate* Challenges the status quo and asks, "Why can't we do this?"* Proactive and resourceful - sees an opportunity and pushes it forward* Comfortable operating in an environment where priorities and approaches can evolve quickly* Uses AI tools to dramatically increase personal productivity and development velocityJob TypeContractCompensation65 - $75
