Rhino Medical is leading the charge seeking Emergency Medicine Physicians for a locum tenens opportunity in Sellersburg, Indiana . This opportunity offers a well-supported Emergency Department environment with 12-hour physician shifts, substantial APP coverage, Epic documentation, and a notably lighter overnight patient load .

Schedule & Coverage

Standard physician shifts:

Day: 7:00 AM–7:00 PM
Night: 7:00 PM–7:00 AM
24-hour physician coverage
18–24 hours of daily APP coverage

The department averages approximately 3.0 patients per hour during daytime coverage and 0.6 patients per hour overnight , creating a distinct day-to-night practice rhythm.

Emergency Medicine Practice Environment

Physicians practice in a 12-bed Emergency Department supported by extensive daily APP coverage. Epic is used for clinical documentation, and portable bedside ultrasound is available for emergency physician use.

With approximately 27,700 annual visits , the department offers substantive Emergency Medicine practice while maintaining particularly favorable overnight volumes.

MD or DO
Emergency Medicine training
ABEM board certification or board eligibility
Active Indiana medical license or ability to obtain one
Appropriate state and federal controlled-substance credentials
Current Emergency Medicine clinical experience
