Machining Technician

MachinistPerform work on machining equipment such as lathes, milling machines, grinders, and related equipment to support production.Work with operators and Engineering on specific manual modifications to existing tooling.Will be expected to do quality work and care for equipment.Must keep work area clean and orderly.Make out production reports, timecards and other reports or forms as required.Demonstrates a knowledge of and commitment to learn manufacturing principles and techniques.Ensure that all work activities are performed in accordance with established safety and environmental standards.Maintains full compliance and conducts all activities in accordance with Company policies and procedures.Performs other duties as required.High School Diploma or equivalent; relevant experience will be considered in lieu of education.Minimum of 6 months of experience utilizing machine tools to perform precision metal cutting operations. This may include Technical school education.Technical school education in machining, preferred.Must be able to read and interpret blueprints and sketches.Must be able to read gages, micrometers, scales, calipers and related precision measuring equipment.Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire.
