Medical Science Liaison - Obesity and Related Conditions - Orlando, FL

Amgen seeks a Medical Science Liaison for its Obesity and Related Conditions division in Orlando, Florida. This field-based role focuses on providing scientific and clinical expertise to healthcare providers and opinion leaders while executing the company's medical strategy to improve patient outcomes.
Responsibilities
- Conduct peer-to-peer scientific discussions with opinion leaders, healthcare providers, and population health decision-makers
- Engage with clinical investigators and research sites supporting the obesity pipeline
- Present balanced clinical and scientific data to institutional decision-makers on outcomes and economic impacts
- Provide field observations and insights to internal stakeholders to inform company strategies
- Lead and participate in congress activities, speaker training, and project teams supporting MSL strategy
Requirements
- Doctorate degree, OR Master's degree with 3+ years Medical Affairs experience, OR Bachelor's degree with 5+ years Medical Affairs experience
- PharmD, PhD, MD, or DO preferred; other doctoral degrees considered
- 2+ years Medical Science Liaison experience in biotech or pharmaceutical company
- 4+ years medically related field experience including clinical practice, research, or post-doctoral training
- Cardiometabolic and/or obesity-related conditions expertise preferred
- Strong scientific communication and relationship-building skills
