• Barista experience is preferred but not required 

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Cashier / Barista — Roles & Responsibilities

Customer Service & Sales

• Greet guests promptly and provide friendly, professional, and efficient service
• Accurately process customer orders and payments using the Toast POS system
• Answer basic menu and product questions and communicate clearly with guests
• Support a positive guest experience by maintaining a calm, respectful, and service-oriented demeanor

Beverage & Food Preparation

• Prepare coffee, espresso, and non-alcoholic beverages according to established recipes and company standards
• Assemble and serve ready-to-eat food items as directed, following food safety guidelines
• Maintain beverage stations with proper setup, cleanliness, and organization throughout the shift

Cash Handling & POS

• Handle cash and electronic payments accurately and in accordance with company procedures
• Follow all timekeeping, cash-handling, and transaction policies

Cleanliness & Safety

• Maintain a clean, organized, and presentable front-of-house environment, including counters, beverage stations, and guest areas
• Follow all food safety, sanitation, and Department of Health (DOH) requirements, including proper handwashing and surface sanitation
• Comply with workplace safety policies and report any concerns to management

Team Communication & Support

• Communicate respectfully with FOH and BOH team members to support smooth service
• Follow direction from management and escalate guest issues as appropriate
• Participate in required training related to food safety, customer service, and operational procedures

Compliance & Workplace Expectations

• Adhere to all company policies, including attendance, meal and rest break compliance, and accurate timekeeping
• Perform other duties as assigned, consistent with the scope of the Cashier/Barista role
