- Ideally 2 years of experience in restaurants, hospitality, or customer service
- Professionalism, reliability, and clear communication
- Weekend availability
- Barista experience is preferred but not required
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Cashier / Barista — Roles & Responsibilities
Customer Service & Sales
- Greet guests promptly and provide friendly, professional, and efficient service
- Accurately process customer orders and payments using the Toast POS system
- Answer basic menu and product questions and communicate clearly with guests
- Support a positive guest experience by maintaining a calm, respectful, and service-oriented demeanor
Beverage & Food Preparation
- Prepare coffee, espresso, and non-alcoholic beverages according to established recipes and company standards
- Assemble and serve ready-to-eat food items as directed, following food safety guidelines
- Maintain beverage stations with proper setup, cleanliness, and organization throughout the shift
Cash Handling & POS
- Handle cash and electronic payments accurately and in accordance with company procedures
- Follow all timekeeping, cash-handling, and transaction policies
Cleanliness & Safety
- Maintain a clean, organized, and presentable front-of-house environment, including counters, beverage stations, and guest areas
- Follow all food safety, sanitation, and Department of Health (DOH) requirements, including proper handwashing and surface sanitation
- Comply with workplace safety policies and report any concerns to management
Team Communication & Support
- Communicate respectfully with FOH and BOH team members to support smooth service
- Follow direction from management and escalate guest issues as appropriate
- Participate in required training related to food safety, customer service, and operational procedures
Compliance & Workplace Expectations
- Adhere to all company policies, including attendance, meal and rest break compliance, and accurate timekeeping
- Perform other duties as assigned, consistent with the scope of the Cashier/Barista role
