General Ledger Accounting Clerk

We are a management and staffing company searching for a General Ledger Accounting Clerk to join our team.

Ideal applicant will have a 4-year degree in accounting, economics, or finance with a minimum 3 years accounting experience, and 1 year of QuickBooks experience, organizational skills sufficient to maintain consistently accurate records, and knowledge of general accounting and financial management.

Job responsibilities will include:

• Heavy data entry, including journal entries across multiple companies, and daily report retrieval as instructed by Finance Manager.
• Maintain physical accounting records, including but not limited to payment remittance and bank transfers.
• Assist Finance Manager in period closing operations.
• Assist Finance Manager in credit card reconciliation process.
• Contribute to a positive work climate and overall team effort within the business.
• Learn major functions of other areas of the business to act as a backup, if needed.
• Other related tasks and responsibilities as they are requested or required.
