About the Role
The Company is seeking a Managing Director to lead its audacious nonprofit movement dedicated to accelerating the fight against cancer. This entrepreneurial leadership role is pivotal in shaping the organization's future, with a focus on building a community-powered cycling event that goes beyond fundraising to create meaningful connections and drive life-changing breakthroughs in cancer research. The successful candidate will be responsible for the vision, strategy, and growth of the organization, working closely with leadership, volunteers, sponsors, and community partners. Core responsibilities include management of the annual fundraising event, overseeing event promotion and execution, and leading rider and volunteer recruitment efforts. The role demands a leader with a strategic and entrepreneurial mindset, strong business acumen, and the ability to inspire action. Applicants for the Managing Director position at the company should have a minimum of a Bachelor's degree and at least 8 years' of experience, with a preference for those with 5+ years' in related event or development experience.
