Travel Registered Nurse – Emergency Room (7P–7A)

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Travel | Night Shift (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) | 13-Week Assignment | 36 Hours Per Week Guaranteed | Projected Start: August 2026

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in an Emergency Room setting during night shift hours
• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care for emergency department patients
• Document patient information and care accurately using Meditech EHR
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams to ensure safe and effective patient outcomes
• Float to other units, including ICU, if the primary unit census requires reallocation
• Participate in every-other-weekend scheduling and fulfill call requirements as needed

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license valid in North Carolina or compact state eligibility
• Minimum of 2 years of Emergency Room nursing experience
• Proficiency with Meditech EHR or comparable electronic health record system
• Ability to meet travel contract requirements, including residing 60 or more miles from the facility
• Availability to work night shifts, rotating weekends, and call as required

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior ICU experience or comfort floating to an ICU environment
• Experience working in a community or critical access hospital setting
• Familiarity with Joint Commission accreditation standards and practices
