Location: Rochester, New York

Schedule: 12-hour shifts (7:00 AM - 7:00 PM alternating with 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM), 13-week contract, every other weekend required, every other holiday availability required, no on-call

Highlights:

• Work in a 528-bed Magnet-recognized acute care teaching facility with advanced maternal care services
• Baby-Friendly designated birthing center with private birthing suites, on-unit operating rooms, and family-centered care approach
• Utilize EPIC charting system with GE Fetal and Telemetry Monitors, wireless fetal monitoring technology, and advanced neonatal equipment
• Care for full-spectrum Labor and Delivery patients including triage, vaginal deliveries, C-sections, high-risk pregnancies, and postpartum patients
• 36-hour comprehensive orientation with interdisciplinary support including IV teams, respiratory services, and rapid response teams
• Facility rated "High Performing" for maternity outcomes with affiliation to nationally recognized healthcare organizations

Requirements:

• Active New York Single State RN license (must be in hand prior to submission; New York is not a compact state)
• Minimum 1 year of recent Labor and Delivery nursing experience
• Current certifications: BLS, ACLS or OB-ACLS, NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program), and EFM (Electronic Fetal Monitoring)
• EPIC charting experience required
• Proficiency in essential L&D clinical skills including vaginal delivery assistance, C-section circulation and recovery, Magnesium Sulfate therapy, Pitocin administration, fetal monitoring (NST, EFM, IUPC), newborn care, and postpartum hemorrhage management
• Must reside more than 75 miles from the facility
• Willingness to float within skillset as needed
• No more than 10 days of requested time off during contract period
