Study Hall Monitor

Overview Under the direction of the Supervisor, the Study Hall Monitor will help with:

The employee is seated the duration of their shift and regularly required to use repetitive hand motions (such as typing).

- Checking in/out student athletes
- Monitoring students
- Finding resources on campus
- Dealing with athletes being disruptive
- Open and close the BDAC study lounge at designated times (see below)
- Monitor check-in/check-out for all student-athletes entering the Library and Learning Center
- Assist in the maintenance of an effective learning space in LLC
- Help guide students to tutoring/writing center
- Help student-athletes navigate the university systems used for education
- Submit nightly report to Supervisor following the end of study hall to outline any concerns
- Follow all rules and policies of athletic and library staff
- Maintain good standing regarding the Student Code of Conduct
- Coordinate with supervisors and other monitors on a weekly basis
- Must have attended at least some college to the level of Sophomore
- Maintain a 3.5 semester and overall grade point average
- Previous USU college student familiar with Banner, Canvas, MyUSU, etc.
- Excellent level of responsibility, reliability, and punctuality
- Cultural sensitivity and an ability to build rapport with a diverse population
