Collections Specialist

Our success is built on strong customer relationships and employees who take pride in doing quality work. What You’ll Do Manage a portfolio of past-due customer accounts. Contact customers by phone, email, and written correspondence regarding outstanding invoices. Negotiate payment arrangements while maintaining positive customer relationships. Process and apply customer payments accurately. Investigate payment discrepancies and billing issues. Maintain detailed collection notes and account documentation. Escalate delinquent accounts when appropriate. Assist with month-end Accounts Receivable activities and aging reviews. Work collaboratively with internal departments to resolve customer concerns. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required. Associate degree in Accounting, Business, or a related field preferred. Two or more years of business-to-business collections experience preferred. Experience negotiating payment arrangements with commercial and individual customers. Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and ERP/accounting software. Ability to analyze account history and resolve billing or payment discrepancies. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining professionalism and accuracy. Why Join Maine Oxy?
