Labor & Delivery Registered Nurse

Location: Frederick, Maryland

Assignment Duration: This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule: Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts (19:00 - 07:30), rotating holidays and weekends.

Job Description: The Labor & Delivery Registered Nurse will provide comprehensive obstetric care for patients from 20 weeks gestation through 6 weeks postpartum. The unit features state-of-the-art equipment, including 14 labor & delivery rooms, an OB Triage Unit, OB Operating Rooms, and PACU dedicated to creating an exceptional birthing experience.

Responsibilities:

• Manage and monitor patients in labor
• Administer medications and provide interventions as necessary
• Support and educate patients and their families throughout the labor and delivery process
• Utilize advanced fetal monitoring techniques
• Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and care planning

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:

• Minimum 3 years of current Labor & Delivery RN experience
• OB Triage experience is required
• Active Maryland RN license or Compact RN license
• Active fetal monitoring certification required: C-EFM preferred
• Certifications: ACLS, AWHONN Advanced, AWHONN Intermediate, BLS, NRP
• Previous travel nursing experience is required
