As a Senior Buyer, you’ll take end‑to‑end ownership of procurement for complex, high‑value commodities—working hands‑on with domestic and international suppliers to drive cost, delivery, and performance in support of high‑tech manufacturing operations.What You’ll Do:Review and analyze purchase requisitions; generate RFQs and execute purchase orders for assigned suppliersManage purchase order delivery schedules to support manufacturing and operational plansMaintain accuracy and integrity of procurement and supplier data within ERP and supply chain management systemsMonitor cost, schedule, and scope for assigned parts and suppliers to ensure optimal value and qualityNegotiate pricing, terms, and agreements; manage purchase price variance (PPV) against standard costIdentify and deliver cost reduction opportunities, including volume planning, tariff mitigation, and total cost analysis Identify new supply sources when existing suppliers are no longer competitive or meet performance requirements. Evaluate potential cost savings for supplier.Evaluate and recommend cost-saving initiatives such as alternative sourcing and make‑versus‑buy decisionsPartner with Quality to resolve supplier quality and performance issuesCollaborate with management on commodity strategies, including business plans, market trend analysis, pricing strategies, and supplier availability Maintain domestic and/or global commodity expertise; support supplier visits and sourcing activities as requiredTravel domestically and internationally to meet with suppliers and potential new suppliers will be required.What You Need:Bachelor’s degree requiredMinimum of 5 years of experience as an individual contributor in procurement, sourcing, or supply chain managementExperience managing suppliers, negotiating contracts, and supporting manufacturing environmentsGlobal sourcing experience and commodity expertise preferredWhy Axcelis?At Axcelis, you’ll work alongside talented professionals in a collaborative, innovative-driven environment. The range provides the opportunity for growth and progression asyou develop within the role.Base pay is one part of our U.S. total compensation package which includes eligibility in theAxcelis Team Incentive bonus plan, and comprehensive benefits package (for regularemployees working 20+ hours a week).SummaryLocation: Beverly, MAType: Full time
