Operational Accountant

Location: St. Thomas, USVI Workplace Type: On-site Operational Accountant General Description Supervisory Responsibilities: This job has no supervisory responsibilities. Responsibilities Prepare and upload journal entries in accordance with established procedures Perform account reconciliations and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner Monitor and analyze suspense accounts and follow up on outstanding items Support month‑end and year‑end closing processes Process invoices and coordinate with Accounts Payable for payment activities Maintain accurate and audit‑ready documentation of financial transactions Ensure compliance with internal controls, policies, and regulatory requirements Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to gather and validate financial information Responsibilities may vary, and additional duties may be assigned as needed. Education Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance Experience Minimum of two (2) years of accounting or related experience Other Qualifications Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills High attention to detail and organizational skills Effective communication skills and ability to work with cross‑functional teams Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) Experience with SAP or similar accounting systems is a plus Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast‑paced environment Work Schedule Monday through Friday 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM Additional Requirements The information provided here is only a general guide as to the nature of the position and does not constitute an exact description of the goals, tasks, duties and responsibilities of the position.
