We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Warehouse Specialist to support daily warehouse operations and material management activities at our construction site. This role plays a key part in ensuring efficient inventory control, material traceability, and coordination between site staff, subcontractors, vendors, and the office. The Warehouse Specialist serves as a central point of coordination for KAI Phoenix material and logistics activities, working closely with suppliers, freight forwarders, subcontractors, and internal stakeholders to ensure timely and accurate material movement. The role is expected to support and manage warehouse and logistics operations while continuously improving inventory control, material flow, storage efficiency, and related operational processes.

Responsibilities:

Construction Warehouse Managerment
• Perform daily warehouse operations, including receiving, storage, issuance, and shipment of materials.
• Coordinate and support the transportation of materials between KAI warehouses, suppliers, and project sites to ensure timely material availability.
• Operate company vehicles and support material deliveries between KAI warehouses and project sites as required.
• Prepare, organize, and maintain warehouse records, inventory data, and material tracking documentation.
• Support material planning and coordination activities with Site Managers, Supervisors, Procurement personnel, and project teams.
• Maintain accurate inventory records and ensure material traceability throughout the project lifecycle.
• Coordinate domestic and international logistics activities, including freight forwarder, vendor, and carrier communications.
• Monitor delivery schedules for KAI-procured materials and follow up on shipment status and potential delays.
• Manage material receiving inspections and ensure proper storage, identification, and preservation of materials.
• Assist in the preparation and maintenance of procurement, logistics, and warehouse-related documentation.
• Communicate and coordinate with suppliers, subcontractors, freight forwarders, and internal stakeholders.
• Process material transactions and maintain inventory databases and warehouse management records.
• Organize warehouse layouts and storage locations to improve material accessibility and storage efficiency.
• Support continuous improvement activities related to warehouse operations, inventory control, and logistics processes.
• Warehouse and logistics experience is preferred; project-specific procedures and systems will be provided through on-the-job training.

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel for inventory and logistics management
• Effective communication and coordination skills with suppliers, freight forwarders, subcontractors, and internal stakeholders
• Ability to organize, maintain, and analyze warehouse, logistics, and inventory data
• Strong planning, prioritization, and follow-up skills for material movement and delivery activities

Knowledge
• Knowledge of warehouse operations, inventory management, and material handling practices
• Understanding of logistics coordination, shipping processes, and freight documentation
• Knowledge of material identification, storage methods, and traceability requirements
• Familiarity with construction materials, equipment, and project support activities is preferred
• Understanding of workplace safety requirements applicable to warehouse and logistics operations

• Ability to maintain accurate inventory records and ensure material traceability
• Ability to coordinate effectively with vendors, freight forwarders, project teams, and warehouse personnel
• Ability to identify inventory discrepancies and support corrective actions
• Ability to manage multiple priorities while meeting project material requirements and delivery schedules
• Ability to improve warehouse operations, inventory accuracy, and logistics processes through continuous improvement initiatives
• Basic English reading, writing, and communication skills (preferred)

Qualifications

Education & Work Experience

Required Qualifications
• Basic computer skills (Excel, Word, email, and inventory management tools)
• Good communication skills with suppliers, freight forwarders, and internal stakeholders
• Ability to maintain accurate inventory records and warehouse documentation

Preferred Qualifications
• Experience in warehouse, logistics, inventory control, or construction support operations
• Experience as a warehouse coordinator, material controller, logistics coordinator, or similar role
• Strong organizational, inventory management, and time-management skills
• Willingness to support long-term warehouse and logistics operations

Certificates / Licenses
• Valid Driver's License (Required)
• Commercial Driver's License (CDL) or equivalent commercial vehicle operation qualification (Required)
• Forklift Operator Certification (Or the ability to obtain one)
• Mobile Elevating Work Platform (MEWP) Operator Certification (Preferred)
• Warehouse, inventory control, or logistics-related certifications(Preferred)

Work Environment & Physical Demands

Work Environment
The work will be conducted at the warehouse, laydown yard, and project support facilities associated with customer construction projects. Employees are required to commute to the designated work location individually. Parking is available.
Limited local travel may be required to support material deliveries, pickups, warehouse operations, and logistics activities.
Each project is expected to last approximately one to two years. Depending on project requirements, warehouse and logistics support responsibilities may expand to additional projects and facilities. The position may support multiple warehouse, logistics, and material management functions within KAI Phoenix as business needs evolve.
The primary responsibilities of material control, warehouse management, and logistics coordination will remain unchanged.

Physical Demands
Must be physically capable of performing warehouse, material handling, and logistics coordination activities.
The position requires standing, walking, lifting, carrying, and moving materials and equipment on a regular basis. Employees may be required to work both indoors and outdoors and safely navigate warehouse, laydown yard, and construction site environments.
