Location 507 Prudential Road,Horsham, PA, 19044,United States Job Category Inventory Management, Supply Chain, Operations Employee Type FT Non-Exempt (Hourly) Reports To Director of Operations / Administrator Department Operations Experience 3–5 years in healthcare inventory or supply chain management FLSA Status Non-Exempt Position Summary The Inventory Manager oversees all supply chain and materials management operations for the AMS Cardiovascular ASC. This role is responsible for maintaining optimal inventory levels of cardiovascular surgical supplies, implants, and equipment; managing vendor relationships; and ensuring cost-effective procurement in alignment with clinical quality standards. The Inventory Manager works closely with physicians, clinical staff, and administration to support seamless OR operations and regulatory compliance. Key Responsibilities Inventory Control & Procurement Manage day-to-day inventory of cardiovascular supplies including stents, catheters, guidewires, closure devices, contrast media, and consumables. Establish and maintain par levels; perform cycle counts and full physical inventories on a scheduled basis. Place purchase orders and coordinate timely delivery to prevent stock-outs without excessive on-hand surplus. Utilize the inventory management system (IMS) to track stock movement, expiration dates, and usage trends. Oversee implant and high-value device management, including consignment inventory agreements with vendors. Serve as primary point of contact for medical supply vendors and distributors. Negotiate pricing, terms, and contract renewals in collaboration with administration. Evaluate new products and participate in value analysis committee (VAC) reviews. Monitor vendor performance on delivery, quality, and service commitments. Cost Management & Reporting Track and report supply spend against budget; identify and execute cost-reduction opportunities. Analyze case cost data by physician and procedure type; present findings to leadership monthly. Collaborate with billing to ensure accurate charge capture for implants and supplies. Regulatory Compliance & Safety Ensure compliance with TJC, CMS, and state ASC regulations related to supply storage, handling, and documentation. Manage product recalls and field safety notices; coordinate quarantine and replacement promptly. Maintain MSDS/SDS documentation and ensure proper storage of hazardous materials. Support infection control standards through proper sterile supply management and rotation. Operations & Collaboration Partner with the clinical coordinator and physicians to anticipate supply needs for scheduled and add-on cases. Maintain clean, organized supply rooms and sterile storage areas in line with facility standards. Train and orient staff on inventory systems, receiving procedures, and supply handling protocols. Participate in quality improvement initiatives related to supply chain efficiency. Qualifications Required High School Diploma or GED Equivalent Associates or Bachelor’s in Healthcare Administration, Business, Supply Chain Management, or related field preferred; or equivalent combination of education and experience. 3–5 years of inventory or supply chain management experience in a healthcare setting (ASC, hospital OR, or cath lab preferred). Working knowledge of cardiovascular or surgical supplies and implantable devices. Proficiency with inventory management software and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel required). Demonstrated ability to manage vendor relationships and negotiate contracts.
