What an Adjunct Instructor's Day Looks Like:
- Develops, maintains, interprets, and executes administrative procedures and practices. This activity includes developing and maintaining manuals regarding the College's policies, procedures, rules, and standards.
- Analyzes class and program needs of the College. Determines and recommends the retention or deletion of courses.
- Develops and coordinates program and course schedules, faculty assignments, and test dates. Maintains calendar as necessary to track these schedules and adjusts as required.
- Assist students and program curriculum, program and course reviews, and articulation activities.
We'd love to hear from you if you have the following:
Education and Experience:
- Visual Art Instructors: Master's degree in Art or Fine Art with major in Studio Arts (Drawing, Sculpture, Painting, Ceramics, Silk Screening, or Photography) or Master's degree and 18 graduate semester hours in Studio Arts (Drawing, Sculpture, Painting, Ceramics, Silk Screening or Photography).
- Art History Instructors: Master's degree in Art History or Master's degree and 18 graduate semester hours in Art History.
Knowledge of:
- Microsoft Office Professional or similar applications
- Utilize Canvas Learning Management System and other instructional technologies
Ability to:
- Interact positively with diverse populations and varying education levels of students, faculty, staff, and the public.
Work Environment and Physical Demand:
- Reach and grasp objects
- Stoop, bend, kneel, crouch, or crawl
- Use of video display terminal
- Use of manual dexterity and fine motor skills
- Communicate information orally and in writing
- Receive and understand information through oral and written communication
- Proofread and check documents for accuracy

Pay Rates:
Standard hourly rates vary based on the assigned course level and educational credentials.
Must have the ability to work a fluctuating schedule to include evenings and weekends.
