Job Title: Logistics Coordinator
Location: Durham, NC (Onsite Monday-Friday)
Position Overview
We are seeking a Logistics Coordinator to support the movement of critical medical device products used in surgical procedures. This individual will serve as the central point of coordination between sales representatives, couriers, distributors, and internal teams to ensure products are delivered accurately and on time.
This is a fast-paced role that requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, excellent communication, and the ability to adapt quickly when priorities change.
Responsibilities
• Coordinate shipments for medical device products supporting scheduled and urgent surgical procedures
• Review surgery schedules and ensure products are delivered on time
• Create shipping labels and manage shipment tracking
• Coordinate overnight, same-day, and time-sensitive deliveries
• Communicate shipment status and updates with field sales representatives
• Build relationships with couriers, carriers, and distributor partners
• Monitor deliveries and proactively resolve shipping issues
• Coordinate inventory movement and product availability
• Respond to inbound phone calls and emails related to logistics operations
• Utilize ERP systems for order management, shipment tracking, and scheduling
• Assist with pick, pack, and ship activities as needed
• Support urgent and after-hours shipment requests when necessary
Qualifications
• 2+ years of logistics, transportation, supply chain, or shipment coordination experience
• Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
• Experience coordinating shipments through FedEx, UPS, or similar carriers
• Excellent phone, email, and customer communication skills
• Ability to remain calm and effective in a fast-paced environment
• Strong technology skills and ability to learn new systems
• Comfortable working onsite five days per week in Durham, NC
• Willingness to occasionally support urgent after-hours shipment needs
