Production Associate

Pay: $16.50 - $17/hr, paid weekly Schedule: Monday-Friday | 7:00 AM-3:30 PM (Overtime and weekends as needed) Location: Strongsville, OH Duration: 5-Month Contract

Overview

Support the production of wood products by assisting with fabrication, finishing, assembly, and general manufacturing duties. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys hands-on work in a fast-paced production environment and is committed to quality, safety, and teamwork.

Key Responsibilities

Production & Assembly

• Assist with cutting, shaping, sanding, assembling, coating, and finishing wood products.
• Support machine operators with setups, changeovers, and basic adjustments.
• Perform general production tasks to meet daily manufacturing goals.

Quality Control

• Inspect raw materials and finished products for defects.
• Verify product dimensions and ensure quality standards are met.
• Report quality concerns to supervisors promptly.

General Labor

• Perform cleaning, painting, labeling, and pallet handling duties.
• Clean production equipment during downtime (non-maintenance tasks).
• Assist with basic preventive maintenance activities as assigned.
• Cross-train and support other production areas as needed.

Safety & Work Environment

• Follow all safety procedures and wear required PPE at all times.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
• Work in a manufacturing environment with seasonal temperature changes.
• Stand for extended periods, climb stairs as needed, and regularly lift up to 50 lbs.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Previous manufacturing or production experience preferred.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Reliable with a strong attention to detail.
