About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Intensive Care Unit (ICU) Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Mid Hours per Shift: 8 hours (15:00 - 23:30) Experience: 3+ Years of RN ICU Experience; 6 Months Travel Experience License: Valid State RN License Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS Must-Have: - Previous Charge Experience - Charting System Experience (Epic preferred) Description: RN ICU/CPU needed. The candidate must hold current certifications in BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS. Weekend requirements include working every other weekend and additional shifts as needed. On-call responsibilities may be required as necessary. Candidate should have 3+ years of RN ICU experience and a minimum of 6 months of travel experience. May float to other units within the scope of practice depending on patient needs and census. Traveling nurses are expected to be flexible with floating between different units or campuses. Notice for floating requests will generally be given 1.5 hours prior to shift start time. Transportation via shuttle is provided if floating is necessary. Unit details include the staffing and scheduling practices, daily census, and patient demographics. Interdisciplinary support includes teams from various services, enhancing patient care and outcomes. The patient diagnoses include conditions such as sepsis, acute kidney injury, respiratory failure, and heart failure. Special procedures conducted in this unit involve open heart surgeries and ECMO management. Experience with specialized equipment is required. Compliance with all onboarding and verification processes is necessary for applicants.
