Travel Stepdown RN Company: Fusion Medical Staffing, Seattle, Washington Fusion Medical Staffing seeks a skilled Stepdown RN for a 13‑week travel assignment in Seattle, Washington. Responsibilities Provide care to patients transitioning from intensive care to medical‑surgical or general inpatient units. Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms, vital signs, and telemetry data to detect abnormalities and respond appropriately. Administer prescribed medications and treatments in accordance with approved nursing techniques, focusing on cardiac care. Prepare equipment and assist physicians during cardiac-related procedures and examinations. Maintain awareness of comfort and safety needs of telemetry patients. Observe patients, record significant conditions and reactions, and alert supervisors or physicians to cardiac status and responses. Respond to life‑saving situations based on nursing standards, policies, procedures, and protocols for cardiac emergencies. Document nursing history and physical assessments for assigned telemetry patients. Initiate patient education plans tailored to individual needs, focusing on cardiac health, risk factors, and lifestyle modifications. Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to provide comprehensive care for telemetry patients. Adhere to hospital safety protocols, infection control guidelines, and regulatory standards. Qualifications Minimum one year of recent Stepdown RN experience. Current valid RN license in compliance with state regulations. Progressive Care Certified Nurse (PCCN) certification. Ability to read, write, and communicate in English. Physical ability to remain stationary, move about, lift 50‑100lbs, push, pull, and bend. Technical/motor skills to grasp, perform fine manipulation, push/pull, and move equipment during procedures. Mental resilience to cope with frequent contact with the general public and customers while meeting deadlines under pressure.
