This correctional facility provides comprehensive healthcare services to the adult population in a secure environment. The facility operates with established medical protocols during regular business hours and maintains a current physician who will transition into a medical director role.

This area of Missouri offers diverse outdoor recreation opportunities, particularly water-based activities like kayaking, canoeing, and river rafting. Visitors can explore attractions such as the Gateway Arch and the City Museum, participate in guided tours including duck tours and off-road adventures, or enjoy interactive experiences like scavenger hunts throughout the region.

The physician will provide comprehensive family medicine care to adult patients in a correctional facility setting, managing 12-20 patients daily Monday through Friday from 7:30 AM to 4:30 PM with no call requirements. The position involves delivering standard primary care services including routine examinations, chronic disease management, and acute illness treatment while maintaining accurate medical documentation. The facility will transition from AllScripts to Epic EMR system in July, requiring familiarity with electronic documentation systems.
