We’re Hiring: Director of Accounting

Founded in 1978 , Omni Specialty Packaging, LLC is a family-owned and operated company headquartered in Baton Rouge, Louisiana , with manufacturing operations in Shreveport, Louisiana . For more than four decades, Omni has built its business on quality, service, strong relationships, and long-term growth.

We are seeking an experienced Director of Accounting based in Baton Rouge to lead our accounting operations and serve as a key financial partner to the business.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead General Ledger, AP, AR, Fixed Assets, Cost Accounting, and related accounting functions
  • Manage monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes
  • Ensure accurate financial reporting in accordance with U.S. GAAP
  • Oversee inventory accounting, standard costing, and manufacturing variances
  • Maintain strong internal controls and coordinate external audits
  • Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis
  • Partner with Operations to improve cost controls, inventory accuracy, and manufacturing efficiency
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement, automation, and ERP enhancements
  • Lead and develop the accounting team

What We’re Looking For

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required
  • CPA strongly preferred
  • 10+ years of progressive accounting experience
  • 5+ years of accounting leadership experience
  • Manufacturing experience required
  • Strong experience in cost accounting, inventory accounting, and U.S. GAAP
  • Experience with ERP systems such as IFS, SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, or similar
  • Advanced Excel skills
  • Experience with conversational AI technologies and applications required
  • Experience with agentic AI tools or workflows preferred
