Registered Respiratory Therapist

This is a 13-week contract position.

3x12-Hour shifts from 07:00 to 19:30, including every other weekend and holiday.

Seeking a dedicated Registered Respiratory Therapist with 2+ years of recent experience. The clinician will be responsible for delivering high-quality respiratory care and support to patients, ensuring effective treatment and management of respiratory conditions.

Responsibilities:

• Provide respiratory therapy treatments and interventions.
• Assist in extubation and intubation procedures.
• Maintain and troubleshoot ventilators and other respiratory devices.
• Manage tracheostomy care and associated patient needs.
• Perform sputum specimen collections and assist with diagnostic testing.
• Monitor patients' respiratory status and respond to critical events.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:

• Active New York License required at submission.
• Certifications: BLS, RRT (Registered Respiratory Therapist).
• Experience in adult critical care is preferred.
• Familiarity with electronic medical records, preferably Allscripts.
