Commercial Roofing EstimatorOver here at GPAC we are partnered with a well-established Commercial Roofing company who are looking for a Commercial Roofing Estimator.The projects they do now are a mix of Public and Private bidwork. Primarily single-ply re-roof but also metals, built-up, shingles and more. This position they are open to someone who wants to sit in the office majority the day and bang out bids or also the individual who goes to pre-con meetings and chats it up with GCs.The Commercial Roofing Estimator reports into the Division Director. The responsibilities are, but are not limited to:Completing pre-construction cost estimates.Preparing contract bids.Project estimates.Submittals.Cost Analysis.Pricing labor and materials.Vendor management.Change order processingQualificationsExperience as an Estimator in commercial roofing. TPO, EPDM, PVC, Metals, Shingles and more.Extensive knowledge of commercial roofing and maintenance practices, procedures and techniques as well as applicable local, state and federal building codes and legislation.Strong communication skills; thorough and attentive to details.Able to prioritize, multi-task, time management, be proactive, and deadline/detailed oriented.Must possess strong negotiation skills.Ability to closely collaborate with other project teams and stakeholders.Ability to read and interpret documents, such as work orders, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.Ability to provide conceptual estimates from historic data.Ability to work in a team environment.Develop and maintain relationships with key vendors and suppliers.Develop and maintain relationships with Clients and follow their protocols.Work with Managers to understand scope of work and translate into estimating process.Ability to solve client concerns and speak expertly on the solution.Must be familiar with general contracting procedures.Ability to communicate verbally and in writing.Knowledge of construction estimating and scheduling practices.Must demonstrate managerial skills appropriate with this position.Must be PC proficient.Software Skills:Estimating with software's like EDGE software or similar toBidding, Building Connected experience is a PlusProcore, PM Management experience is RequiredSchedule, Proficient in Microsoft Project, or other software equivalent is a PlusBudget, Change Orders, RFI'sMicrosoft Office Suite: MS Outlook, MS Word, MS ExcelSubmit your resume to this for consideration!
