Description

We are looking for a Contact Lens Technician to join our team. As a Contact Lens Technician you will fit, order, and dispense contact lenses to patients. Our Contact Lens Technicians work closely with our doctors to help patients achieve their best visual outcomes. 

Schedule:
MW 9a-6p TTH 8a-5p F 8a-4p

What you will be doing

• Evaluate customer’s prescriptions and visual requirements.
• Selling goods such as contact lenses, spectacles, sunglasses, and other goods related to eyes in general.
• Help perform corneal measurements and contact lens fittings for standard and specialty lenses. 
• Show customers how to insert, remove, and care for their contact lenses.
• Help triage and over-refract patients.
• Schedule and perform contact lens check ups.
• Determine customer’s current lens prescriptions, when necessary, using lensometer or lens analyzers and customer’s eyeglasses.
• Order and purchase lenses.
• Verify vision and medical insurances.

What you know

Required

• High school diploma or GED equivalent
• Experience working in customer service
• Excellent verbal communication skills

Desired

• 2 years recent retail office experience (Optical Retail preferred)
• NCLE/ABO Certified
• Graduate of Optical Studies Program
• Familiarity with Ophthalmology and Optometry practice
