Gateway Psychiatry Counseling LLC is seeking a committed and experienced Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) to join our team on a full-time basis, providing remote outpatient therapy in a school setting in Brownsville, Texas. Work Environment

Key Responsibilities

Your core responsibilities will include:

• Conducting comprehensive assessments and evaluations of patients’ mental health status, utilizing tools such as the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders to inform your clinical judgments.
• Developing individualized treatment plans that address specific needs, focusing on cultural diversity and special considerations relevant to the patient population.
• Monitoring patient progress regularly and providing timely interventions and strategies to facilitate symptom reduction and enhance mental health outcomes.
• Maintaining accurate and timely treatment records and documentation in compliance with state regulations and departmental procedures.
• Collaborating effectively with patients, families, and multidisciplinary teams to establish comprehensive care plans that align with patient goals and outcomes.
• Coordinating referrals and maintaining communication with various clinical professionals and agencies to ensure seamless continuity of care.
• Providing educational opportunities, mentorship, and support to students, interns, and volunteers, enhancing their learning experiences and professional development.
• Participating in peer review and clinical collaboration efforts, contributing to a culture of continuous improvement and excellence within our therapeutic teams.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your primary clients will include individuals and families navigating the challenges posed by cancer diagnoses. You will provide holistic support tailored to the unique emotional and psychological needs of this demographic, ensuring a compassionate and empathetic approach in each encounter.

Qualifications

We are seeking candidates with the following qualifications:

• A Master’s degree in Social Work from an accredited institution.
• A current, valid State license as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW).
• Demonstrated expertise in evidence-based therapeutic techniques relevant to mental health treatment.

Preferred Experience

While not mandatory, preference will be given to candidates with experience in outpatient therapy, particularly in settings that address mental health concerns related to physical illnesses such as cancer. Familiarity with telemedicine practices is also advantageous, given our hybrid care approach.

Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary range of USD 90,000 to 105,000 annually, reflecting your expertise and commitment to patient care. Additional benefits include:
