DescriptionThe Opportunity: Join Hitachi Energy as a Mechanical Designer for our Capacitors and Filters product group in Mount Pleasant (Connelsville), PA. We are a leading provider of high-voltage components, specializing in innovative solutions for the electrical utilities and power delivery industry. As we expand our operations, we seek a talented and experienced mechanical designer to support our team in developing customized products that meet unique customer requirements. If you have strong interpersonal skills, excel in teamwork, and can focus on complex concepts under pressure, this is the perfect opportunity for you to make a significant impact.How You'll Make an Impact:Design MV and HV Capacitor banks per customer and industry standards using 2D and 3D CAD software.Demonstrate knowledge in advanced high-end CAD software Creo.Utilize Product Data Management (PDM) and Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) tools like Windchill.Apply Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T), Design for Assembly, and Manufacturing principles.Prepare manufacturing and assembly drawings using standard techniques and procedures.Coordinate effectively with Product owners, Supply Chain Suppliers, and Engineering teams globally.Ensure compliance with external and internal regulations, procedures, and guidelines.Your Background:College diploma in mechanical engineering, design option, electrical engineering - automation and control, or AEC in computer-aided design.Drafting & Detailing (2D and 3D) experience is a must.Experience in handling projects in PLM/PDM systems is an asset.Mastery of AutoCAD and PTC Creo.Working knowledge of T&D industry standards (IEEE, ANSI, CSA, NEC, ASME, etc.).Knowledge of SolidWorks is an asset.Proficiency in English (reading, writing, speaking); knowledge of French is an asset.Ability to use IT tools, particularly Microsoft Office Suite.Team spirit, creativity, and attention to detail.Knowledge of SAP is an asset.Experience in medium voltage electrical equipment and cubicles is an asset.More About Us:Hitachi Energy is committed to innovation and excellence in the electrical utilities and power delivery industry.We offer opportunities for growth and development in a dynamic and supportive environment.Join us and be part of a team that values safety, integrity, and collaboration.Ready to take the next step in your career?
