About the position Faculty position employed by the University of Texas at Tyler School of Medicine, practicing in UT Health East Texas facilities. This is a full‑time faculty orthopedic surgery role in Tyler, TX. Board‑Certified or Board‑Eligible Orthopedic Surgeon sought for a full‑time faculty position. The role offers high‑volume clinical practice, teaching, and mentorship within the first medical school in East Texas, with access to a Level I Trauma Center. Responsibilities Two new state‑of‑the‑art orthopedic clinics in Tyler (Midtown & South Tyler) Patient volume: 20‑25 patients per day Case mix: 90% outpatient orthopedic surgery, 10% inpatient Schedule: Monday‑Thursday 8‑5, Friday 8‑12 4 hours per week of protected administrative time On‑call duty: average 3 days per month Qualifications Board‑Certified or Board‑Eligible Orthopedic Surgeon Experience in general orthopedics and/or joint replacement encouraged Compensation & Benefits Guaranteed compensation (first 2 years) High orthopedic surgeon earning potential wRVU production incentives Commencement bonus and relocation package CME allowance and malpractice coverage University faculty retirement plans available #J-18808-Ljbffr
