Accounting Manager

Account Manager

Oxford Builders is looking for an Account Manager to join our team in our Houston office. This person will operate as the lead on all critical business accounts.

Key Responsibilities

• Financial Reporting: Manage and review general ledger operations, prepare accurate financial statements, and execute the monthly and annual closing processes.
• Compliance & Audits: Ensure all financial practices comply with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and local tax regulations.
• Team Leadership: Train, mentor, and evaluate junior accounting staff; delegate daily tasks related to accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll.
• Analysis & Budgeting: Develop company budgets, forecast future financial needs, track revenue and expenses, and identify process improvements to reduce costs.

Qualifications & Skills

• Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; a Master's degree or CPA (Certified Public Accountant) certification is highly preferred.
• Experience: Typically requires 3–5 years of progressive accounting experience, including supervisory or team lead roles.
• Software Proficiency: Advanced knowledge of accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite, SAP) and highly proficient in Microsoft Excel.
• Soft Skills: Strong analytical capabilities, strict attention to detail, and excellent written and verbal communication skills.

• 7 am to 4 pm
