Job Description Under the supervision of the Supervising Dentist, CF, and/or Supervising Dental Assistant, CF, the Dental Assistant, CF performs supportive dental procedures following the guidelines and regulations set forth by the Dental Board of California, the California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation (CDCR) Inmate Dental Services Program (IDSP) policies and procedures. The Dental Assistant, CF assists with the related work of a dental office, maintains order, supervises inmate conduct, directs their duties, and protects and maintains the safety of persons and property. Responsibilities Perform supportive dental procedures under professional supervision. Assist in the clinical operations of the correctional dental office. Maintain clinic order and supervise inmate conduct during procedures. Ensure safety of persons and property in the dental setting. Follow all relevant regulations and institutional policies.
