Overview Position Summary: Drives sales in the Vision Center by ensuring effective merchandise presentation, accurate and competitive pricing, proper signing, in-stock and inventory levels, budgeting and forecasting, and assessing economic trends and community needs. Provides direction and guidance to Associates on customer/member service approaches and techniques to resolve needs, complaints, and issues within Company guidelines and standards. Oversees community outreach programs and encourages Associates to engage as good members of the community. Ensures compliance with Company and legal policies, procedures, and regulations for the Vision Center by analyzing and interpreting reports, implementing and monitoring asset protection and safety controls, and executing Company programs and strategic initiatives. Responsibilities Provide supervision and development opportunities for Vision Center Associates by hiring, training, mentoring, assigning duties, providing recognition, and promoting a sense of belonging in the workplace. Consult with Members/Customers to ensure quality eyewear selection based on needs, obtain measurements, verify prescriptions, maintain confidentiality, perform minor frame repairs, and maintain Optical equipment. Uphold the Open Door Policy by meeting with Associates, listening to concerns, researching issues, reviewing policies, and suggesting resolutions. Coordinate, complete, and oversee job-related activities by developing relationships with key stakeholders, supporting plans, and measuring progress toward goals; identify improvement opportunities and promote continuous learning. Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures, ethics, integrity, and the company mission; apply these in executing business processes and practices. Respect the individual by building high-performing teams, embracing differences, creating a workplace where associates feel seen and connected, and promoting a culture of belonging. Qualifications Minimum Qualifications: Completion of 2 or more years of college OR 1 year’s retail experience and 1 year’s supervisory experience OR 2 years’ general work experience including 1 year’s optical experience. High school diploma or equivalent. Current eligibility to work as an optician or apprentice optician under applicable state laws, regulations, and/or rules. Preferred Qualifications: Supervising Associates. Benefits and Compensation The hourly wage range for this position is $22.50 - $32.50. Additional compensation may include annual or quarterly performance bonuses.
