What You'll Do As an Accounting Assistant, you'll support the day-to-day financial operations of the organization by ensuring payroll, invoicing, and accounting processes are completed accurately and on time. Responsibilities include: Process weekly payroll and maintain payroll records Review and resolve missing or inaccurate timecard information Process payroll deductions, garnishments, tax withholdings, and employee changes Respond to payroll questions and employment verification requests Process weekly customer invoices and resolve billing discrepancies Apply daily cash receipts and research unapplied payments Assist with customer collections on outstanding invoices Reconcile staffing vendor invoices Prepare reports and maintain accurate financial records Protect confidential payroll and financial information Support the Finance Department with additional accounting projects as assigned What We're Looking For We're looking for someone who is dependable, highly organized, and enjoys working in a collaborative office environment. The ideal candidate has excellent attention to detail, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining accuracy and confidentiality. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required Associate's degree in Accounting or enrollment in an accounting program preferred One to two years of payroll, accounting, bookkeeping, or related office experience preferred Strong mathematical aptitude and attention to detail Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook Experience working with ERP or accounting software; Microsoft Dynamics NAV (Navision) experience is a plus Excellent communication and customer service skills Ability to handle confidential information with professionalism and discretion Valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and proof of insurance Why Opportunities, Inc.?
