Job Title: Hospitality Aide (Non-Nursing)

Location: Plainfield Health Care Center – Plainfield, Indiana

The Hospitality Aide plays a vital role in enhancing the resident experience by providing non-clinical support that promotes comfort, dignity, and quality of life. This position works alongside nursing staff and focuses on service, environment, and resident engagement—without performing hands-on clinical care.

• Provide exceptional customer service to residents, families, and visitors
• Assist residents with non-clinical needs , such as delivering water, snacks, clothing, and personal items
• Support meal service , including tray delivery, setup, and light assistance per facility guidelines
• Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming environment in resident rooms and common areas
• Make beds, change linens, and prepare rooms for admissions and transfers
• Respond promptly to call lights and communicate resident requests to nursing staff
• Assist with transporting residents to dining, activities, or other areas of the facility
• Provide companionship and social interaction to promote resident well-being and engagement
• Restock supplies (linens, PPE, hygiene items) and support infection control practices
• Uphold Plainfield Health Care Center’s mission, values, and commitment to person-centered care

• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Previous experience in hospitality, customer service, or healthcare preferred
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Compassionate, patient, and service-oriented mindset
• Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team

• Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 25–50 lbs
• Ability to push wheelchairs and assist with transport safely
• Ability to remain active throughout the shift

• Skilled nursing and rehabilitation setting
• Interaction with residents, families, and healthcare team members
• Adherence to infection control and safety standards

This is a non-nursing, non-clinical position . In accordance with Indiana regulations, Hospitality Aides at Plainfield Health Care Center:

• Do not perform CNA duties
• Do not provide hands-on personal care such as bathing, toileting, dressing, or feeding (unless allowed under facility policy)
• Do not take vital signs or assist with medications
