Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Nights | 3x12-hour shifts (6:45 PM – 7:15 AM) | Every other weekend required | On-call required (two 12-hour shifts per 6-week period)

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to patients in a Labor and Delivery unit within an acute care hospital setting
• Monitor maternal and fetal status throughout labor, delivery, and immediate postpartum periods
• Administer medications and treatments in accordance with physician orders and facility protocols
• Document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately using Epic electronic health records
• Participate in on-call shifts as required to meet unit staffing needs
• Respond to emergency situations, including potential assignment to emergency response teams during hurricane season (June through November)

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of Labor and Delivery nursing experience
• Active South Carolina RN license or Multi-State/Compact RN license (SC license must be active prior to start)
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications
• AWHONN Beginner and AWHONN Intermediate certifications
• Fetal Heart Monitoring (FHM) certification
• Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification

Preferred Experience / Skills

• AWHONN Advanced certification
• STABLE program certification
• Prior experience with Epic electronic health records system
