Physician Assistant - Hospitalist in Tennessee

Opportunity Highlights

• Schedule: NPPA Day 1 10a-8p, NPPA Night 1 8p-6a
• Job Setting: Hospital - Holston Valley Medical Center
• Types of Cases: 93 Encounters/day total (average patient volume). No procedures required.

Minimum Requirements

• Board Certified/Board Eligible: Active certification through AANP/ANCC (for NP) or Active certification through NCCPA (for PA)
• Certifications: ACLS, PALS. Preeclampsia-Eclampsia CME required during initial application and every two years for reappointments. Documentation of case logs for past 2 years.
• Licensure: NP: Active unrestricted TN RN License, TN NP License, TN DEA License w/ TN address & Prescriptive Authority. PA: Active unrestricted TN Medical license & DEA w/ TN address along w/ schedules 2,2N,3,3N,4 & 5. Immunizations: Documentation of MMR/Varicella (2) vaccines or titers with values indicating immunity for MMR & Varicella. Two-Step TB Test within the past 12 months (a 2nd TB Test will need to be completed prior to activation of privileges). If TB Test is positive, Chest X-ray is required within the last 3 months. TB QuantiFERON Gold test result indicating immunity (if taken within the last three months of privileges being granted, a 2nd TB Test will not be required). Malpractice Coverage: $1M Per Loss Event/3M Annual Aggregate Coverage. Preferred: 2 years of recent experience in the specialty. New Grads may be accepted depending on site needs.
